DPTV, an online Cinematography magazine was created to provide in depth information on the art, business, and politics of image making through real life experiences in the film and television industry. DPTV primarily features video content that profiles Cinematographers, their crews, and fellow collaborators. In addition, the site showcases innovations and advancements in motion picture photography, provide tips and tricks of the trade, as well as cover relevant industry events such as film festivals and expos.

Emmy nominated DP, Cliff Charles launched DPTV on February 9, 2009 to provide resource information and mentorship to Cinematographers. Since then the site has featured a host of diverse interviews from DP’s, Educators, Equipment Manufacturers and others, working in the business of image making. Charles, prides himself on filling voids in the industry through his company The People’s DP Inc., which provides streamlined equipment packages, diverse crews and innovative work flow solutions to today’s challenging production landscape. As an added value to The People’s DP Inc, DPTV is intended to fill a void as an Educational Resource.
